Galloway & McLeod, the employee-owned feed manufacturer and agricultural merchant based in Lanarkshire, has made a number of staff changes.
Ruminant nutritionist Russell Allison is appointed to the company board as technical director. Mr Allison, who has been with the company since 2003, has successfully developed feed programmes to assist customers throughout the country. He was a strong contributor to the development of the G&M Intelligent Agriculture process that helps farmers maximise their business output.
Mr Allison is also a member of the AIC feed sector working group reporting to government on efficiencies and emissions from agriculture.
“In over a decade with the business, Russell has contributed greatly to the significant development of our speciality feeds,” states G&M chairman Ralph MacLeod. “His in-depth knowledge complements the skills and experience of staff throughout the business. In his new role, Russell will lead further innovative development to help customers meet the challenges of tomorrow.”
Elsewhere in the company, Jim McMullan has been appointed to the post of commercial manager and Gillian Howatson becomes the new feed product manager.
