Feed additive manufacturer Anpario has formed an alliance with a UK poultry consultancy to strengthen its poultry technical team.

The Nottinghamshire company is working with RSB Poultry Services, the Solihull-based business founded by Andrew Hignett in 2013. Mr Hignett is a former managing director of Hy-Line UK, the domestic arm of the US multinational egg-laying poultry genetics group.   He also founded the Central Egg Agency in 1976, based on his Nuffield Scholarship research in the US, and remains its chief executive.

Anpario says Mr Hignett and RSB commercial director Tim Evans will work alongside Hayley Agnew, its commercial director for the UK and Europe. “This partnership will offer guidance, solutions and support to farmers within the industry across the UK,” it states.

RSB Poultry Services was established to “offer a turnkey solution to the egg laying industry”.  Mr Hignett has over half a century’s experience and expertise in egg production and marketing, while Mr Evans has worked in the sector for more than 25 years giving producers technical advice and practical support in maximising the performance and profitability of their flocks.

“Andrew and Tim have extensive industry experience and strong business acumen,” notes Ms Agnew. “They will be a valuable asset to Anpario and we are delighted to welcome them to the team.”

Mr Hignett adds:  “The RSB Group is thrilled to have the opportunity to join an organisation such as Anpario and looks forward to beginning work with Hayley and her team, as we seek to drive the supply of Anpario products to farmers who are looking to maximise the profitability of their egg-laying stock.”
