Stowmarket-based maltster Muntons has appointed Mark Tyldesley as its deputy managing director.
Mr Tyldesley joins Muntons with many years of experience in senior positions at manufacturing and retail companies including Proctor & Gamble, Tesco and Premier Foods. He was latterly chief executive of Jeyes Group. Muntons says that his appointment adds strength to its existing executive team and will ensure a continued focus on growing the business on a structured and sustainable basis.
In his new post, Mr Tyldesley will work closely with Muntons’ manufacturing and commercial teams. He will be involved in the delivery of Muntons’ global strategy, and will work to improve business performance to meet ambitious company objectives.
Commenting on his new role, Mr Tyldesley states: “I am delighted to have joined what is clearly a first-class organisation with a strong and successful heritage and culture that has been established over its many decades. I am excited by the challenges that lie ahead as we build on the passion for our products, our customer service and our staff, which I am sure will see us go from strength to strength.”
Alan Ridealgh, managing director at Muntons, says: “We are very pleased to be able to announce the appointment of Mark to the position of deputy managing director. Initially Mark will take over responsibility for the sales, product marketing, new product development, manufacturing, quality assurance, environment and sustainability functions of the business. We have every confidence that Mark will continue to build on the successes that Muntons has already achieved.”
