Jane Craigie Marketing (JCM) has expanded its team with the appointment of Rebecca Dawes, the former head of communications for Young Farmers, and consumer PR specialist Susannah Pate, who will work as an associate.
The company, with offices in Aberdeenshire, has engaged the pair in response to growing demand for professional communications throughout the agricultural sector. Its clients include The Oxford Farming Conference, LEAF Open Farm Sunday and, from next month, Soil Association Scotland.
Ms Dawes will lead JCM’s digital communications. Her experience includes event management and digital media, including working as Scottish co-ordinator for LEAF’s Open Farm Sunday. With a background in consumer PR, Ms Pate will bring her experience of press relations and storytelling to JCM. “It’s a really interesting time to be working with clients and projects in the changing and progressive rural sector,” she says. “Working with JCM and its mix of agricultural and rural businesses fits really well with my life on the farm and my previous career in consumer PR.”
Jane Craigie adds: “Communications in rural and agricultural industries have become increasingly important, with more competition and consequently a greater need to be heard – it is not only what is being said, but how it is being said. I am looking forward to having extra team members to support the work we do; fulfil our clients’ needs the very best we can; and to inject our flair for creativity along the way.”
