QLF Agronomy has appointed biological soils expert George Hepburn to the post of nationwide sales manager. Mr Hepburn will specialise in QLF’s liquid carbon-based fertiliser range. He was previously employed by Norfolk-based Soil Fertility Services.

The company is a division of Quality Liquid Feeds, the US specialist animal feed business which has a UK operation working from offices in Much Wenlock, Shropshire.

In his new post, Mr Hepburn will work closely with farmers and agronomists to develop soil nutrition plans and champion the benefits of using liquid carbon-based fertilisers. He will call upon his extensive experience of biological farming, including 13 years specialising in soil fertility and crop nutrition advice.

“I believe the future of agriculture relies on farmers prioritising soil biology and utilising the nutrients available in the soil,” he says.  “I’m looking forward to collaborating with agronomists and farmers to share biological farming practices.”

David Maxwell, national sales director at QLF, welcomed Mr Hepburn, saying: “It’s great to be working with George. His background in soil biology will put him in good stead for sales success.”
