ING Wholesale Banking, part of the Dutch multinational ING, has appointed Deborah Perkins as to the new, London-based role of global head of food and agribusiness within its industry lending division.
ING says it has a strong track record in food and agribusiness, and the Wholesale Bank’s expertise has helped the business sector grow significantly in past years. In her new post, Ms Perkins will be responsible for directing and developing the food and agribusiness growth initiative globally. As part of the newly-created role, she will also develop the franchise in Europe and the Americas, as well as expansion in Asia.
Ms Perkins’ career includes serving as managing director and head of Rabobank’s Dallas Corporate Banking Office and nine years leading Rabobank’s food and agribusiness research teams in the Americas, Australia and New Zealand.
“There is significant change taking place in the Food and Agribusiness sector today,” says Ms Perkins. “Changing consumer preferences and an increased focus on sustainability and innovation is providing ample opportunities for ING to grow in this sector around the world; I’ve joined the bank at a pivotal and exciting time for the business.”
