The Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC) has appointed specialist agribusiness marketing agency RDP Marketing as its new communications partner. The agency succeeds Geoff Dodgson, who provided the AIC with public relations and marketing communications services for many years. He is now training for ordination and a full time career in the Church of England.

“We’re really pleased to be working with the highly skilled and well-connected team at RDP,” says AIC chief executive Robert Sheasby. “Its strategic approach to ag marketing, focus on results and experience in creating successful campaigns for big brands meant they were the obvious choice.

“We’re very grateful to Geoff and the invaluable contributions he’s made to AIC over the years. Since its founding in 2003, Geoff has played a key role in establishing AIC’s position as the voice for the UK’s agri-supply chain.

“RDP will play a key role in helping us develop the agenda for our sector. More than any time in recent history, the agricultural industry needs a united voice speaking on its behalf. It has one in the AIC – together with RDP, we will continue to make sure our members’ opinions are heard and their interests represented.”

Angus Chalmers, managing director at RDP adds: “AIC is one of the most important voices in UK agriculture. These are exciting times for the sector but are also times of great change and uncertainty. We look forward to working closely with the AIC team and its membership as they continue their vital work in shaping the industry’s future.”
