Feed additive manufacturer Evonik has resolved its production issues at its methionine plant in Antwerp, Belgium which saw it issue a force majeure notice on November 12th.

The company says an issue with the hydrocyanic acid (HCN) supply caused a temporary shutdown of methionine production at Antwerp.

“We are pleased that we could solve the issue and resume MetAMINO production,” states Dr Emmanuel Auer, head of animal nutrition business line at Evonik. “We would like to thank our customers for the patience and support shown whilst we resolved the situation.”
