Boston Seeds, the online retailer of grass, wildflower and specialist agricultural seeds, has appointed two new members to its team.

Alex Payates joins the Boston, Lincolnshire-based business as marketing manager, responsible for co-ordinating and developing the company’s digital marketing strategy. He was formerly an engineer in the RAF. “I’m very excited to be joining Boston Seeds at a time of such growth and look forward to the challenges of my new role.”

At the same time, Ben Major becomes a web developer to accelerate the development of the company’s various online platforms. He been undertaken projects for Boston Seeds over a number of years, but now becomes a full-time staff member – a testament to the success and ambition of the company in this area, comments commercial director George Wallis.

“Maintaining our number one position online is a key pillar of our medium-term strategy and these two new appointments ensure we will continue to lead in this sector,” comments Mr Wallis. “Online sales to both horticulture and agriculture are growing rapidly, and it is imperative that we continue to invest in the skills that our changing industry requires.”
