Gavin Millar has been elected president of the Grain & Feed Trade Association (GAFTA) for the 2020/21 year. He succeeds Swithun Still of the Swiss trading house Solaris Commodities.
Mr Millar is managing director of Gemcom, the commodity trading business based in central London that he founded in 2004. His team of dedicated traders handle proteins, grains and vegetable oils within a portfolio of raw materials for the animal feed, pet food and aquaculture sectors among other markets. With over 30 years’ experience in the grain and feed trades, Mr Millar’s career has included work for both private and multinational trading companies.
His first event was the annual President’s Reception held at the Gafta London office last week.
