Adama Agricultural Solutions UK has appointed Stephen Beal as its new product manager for herbicides and plant growth regulators. He replaces Dr Alison Hall who has moved to Adama’s European team, where she will be responsible for overseeing regulatory affairs and stewardship.

Mr Beal has almost 30 years’ experience in crop protection, much of it in seed treatment roles with BASF, Monsanto, Syngenta and Arysta. His most recent role was as UK head of sales and business development for grass seed company Barenbrug.

In his new role as herbicides and PGR product manager, Mr Beal will work with Adama’s regulatory, technical and marketing teams to develop and implement tactical product campaigns for the company’s range of herbicides and to communicate key trials results and technical product data to Adama’s stakeholders.

“I’m excited to join Adama’s marketing and technical team and to help in the development of its wide-ranging portfolio of crop protection products as part of a business that has grown rapidly in recent years to become one of the world’s leading crop protection companies,” says Mr Beal.

“Alison’s professionalism, enthusiasm and energy will be sorely missed by Adama’s UK team,” adds Ali Bosher, interim general manager, “but I am certain that Stephen will more than compensate for her departure.”
