The Wynnstay Group, the UK’s third largest producer of cereal seed, has added two new members to its expanding seed department.

Amy Watts

Amy Watts joins as environmental seed product manager and Diane Foley as regional seed manager – east. Both jobs are new positions for the company and will support the department’s specialism nationally.

As environmental seed product manager, Ms Watts’ priority will be to develop the national environmental, conservation and game seed portfolio for Wynnstay. In her previous role, she was technical and sales support at DLF Seeds for this area, so has plenty of experience to share.

Ms Foley will focus on expanding Wynnstay’s seed activity in the east. She comes to the role as a well-known expert in the sector, having previously worked at Openfield Agriculture, Woldmarsh Producers and New Farm Crops.

Head of seeds at Wynnstay, Toby Reich, comments that this is a progressive and expansive time for the seed department. “Bringing Amy and Di into the business means we can put resource into developing our environmental seed portfolio to support customers during the ELMs transition, as well as ensuring a specialist seed team for our farmers in the Eastern region,” he states.

“This is an exciting time for the business. We look forward to working closely, and utilising Amy and Di’s expertise to benefit our customer base.”
