Global agribusiness Cargill has appointed Jamie Miller as its new chief financial officer (CFO) with effect from June 1st 2021. Ms Miller succeeds David Dines, who has held the position since December 2018 and is to retire after 29 years with Cargill.

Ms Miller’s career includes the post of senior vice president and CFO at General Electric from November 2017 until February 2020. She joined GE in 2008, and held several leadership positions, including serving as president and chief executive of GE Transportation. “The food system is dynamic and evolving. We know that to feed a growing population in a safe, responsible and sustainable way, we need innovative leaders like Jamie to guide our growth and maintain our strong balance sheet,” says Dave MacLennan, Cargill chairman and chief executive.

“Jamie is a resilient and decisive leader with a learning mindset, and she is a champion of leveraging data and digitalisation to deliver business results. I’m confident she has the expertise and leadership approach to continue driving our organisation forward as our CFO.”
