Germinal has appointed Adam Simper as account manager for the North Wales and Midlands area of England. The company says that the newly created post reflects the growth of its grass and forage seed business in recent years.
Mr Simper has previously been forage product manager at the Wynnstay Group and national forage grass and roots seed development manager at Agrii. He also sat on the Herbage Crop Committee, covering the Recommended Grass and Clover Lists.
Paul Billings, managing director at Germinal, says: “Adam brings enormous knowledge about grass and forage seed and an insight into the retail market, which will add real value for farmers and our merchant customers.
We know that agriculture faces huge change, and we are driving innovation, with our breeding team at IBERS developing innovative technologies in grass and clover, which will help farmers address the challenges ahead. We look forward to working together with industry partners to bring cutting edge science and knowledge together to secure a resilient future for ruminant livestock farmers.”
