Online crop marketing platform Graindex and marketing consultancy ODA UK are to collaborate over a “joined up approach to marketing combinable crops in the UK and adding value to their outputs”.
ODA, based in Peterborough, provides market information and risk management services to clients across Europe and the Black Sea regions. Graindex was established in 2015 and is now part of Chichester based Hectare Agritech with digital platforms for crop and livestock sales.
“There are two important decisions to make in grain marketing; when to sell and who you sell to,” observes Graindex co-founder Andrew Huxham. “The information and tools a farmer uses to make these decisions are critical – the information must be independent and accurate if farms want to maximise opportunities and margins.
“I’m really excited about this partnership and the collective value that Graindex and ODA can provide to the progressive UK arable farmer.”
For ODA, chief executive Sebastien Mallet adds: “Our community of UK farmers is trained, timely informed and actively advised on their sales and risk management strategies.
