Nutreco, the Dutch multinational parent to the Trouw Nutrition animal feed and Skretting aquaculture businesses has a new chief executive.

Fulco van Lede will assume the position from August 15th, replacing Rob Koremans who is to retire this summer after three years in the role.

Mr van Lede has been a member of the executive board of directors of SHV Holdings, the largest trading company in The Netherlands, which acquired Nutreco in 2015. He has spent much of his career in SHV subsidiaries including food wholesaler Makro and SHV Energy where he was chief executive of the SHV Energy Board.

Mr Koremans will stay with the company until the end of 2021 as an advisor to the Nutreco executive leadership team to ensure a smooth transition. He will also facilitate the startup of a new fundamental research unit to develop and introduce unique proprietary products such as feed additives and specialty ingredients.

“We want to thank Rob for leading Nutreco for the last three years and we wish him all the best in the future,” says SHV chief executive Jeroen Drost. “In Fulco we have a worthy successor to lead the company in its next phase of growth.”
