The recent online auction sale of Gold Line Holdings animal and pet food business assets at two sites at Islip and Ringstead near Kettering exceeded all expectations, reports auctioneer Sanderson Weatherall.

The major two-day sale included over 1,000 lots of dry pet food and animal feed milling equipment and factory equipment. The highest value lot realised over £45,000.
“We attracted 325 bidders from the UK, Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Egypt, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Jersey, Latvia, Netherlands, Jersey, Poland and Turkey, with the successful sale of over 80% of lots from the two auction sites,” comments Stephen Jepson, partner in Sanderson Weatherall’s auction team. “This was a fantastic sale in which we achieved great results for Gold Line Holdings. It goes to show that with full global marketing, there is still great demand for second hand equipment.”
Gold Line Feeds was created by long established equine feeds maker Dodson & Horrell in 2022 as part of a restructure to separate its horse and dog food interests. The two mills are in the process of being cleared after the auction, before the freeholds are put on the market.
